OFFICIAL SWEEPSTAKES RULES & PRIVACY DISCLOSURES
THE OPEN HEARTS QUILTING OCTOBER HANDMADE QUILT SWEEPSTAKES
NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR MEMBERSHIP IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAID MEMBERSHIP WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
By participating in this Sweepstakes, you agree to these Official Rules.
1. SPONSOR
The Sponsor of this Sweepstakes is Open Hearts Quilting, located in Pleasant Grove, Utah ("Sponsor").
This Sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or affiliated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
2. ELIGIBILITY
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry.
Employees, contractors, officers, directors, and immediate family members or household members of the Sponsor are not eligible to participate.
Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
3. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD
The Sweepstakes begins on October 1, 2026, at 12:01 AM Mountain Daylight Time ("MDT") and ends on October 7, 2026, at 11:59 PM MDT (the "Sweepstakes Period").
Entries received outside the Sweepstakes Period are void.
4. HOW TO ENTER
There are multiple ways to participate. No purchase or paid membership is required to enter or win.
A. FREE INSTAGRAM ENTRY
During the Sweepstakes Period, eligible participants may receive one (1) free entry by commenting on the designated October Handmade Quilt Sweepstakes post on the official Instagram account @lauralovesquilts.
The comment itself constitutes the free entry. No purchase, membership, payment, follow, like, or subscription is required to receive this free entry.
Only comments submitted during the Sweepstakes Period and otherwise complying with these Official Rules will be eligible.
The Sponsor may disregard comments that are fraudulent, automated, duplicated, abusive, unlawful, or otherwise inappropriate.
B. FREE ONLINE BONUS ENTRIES
During the Sweepstakes Period, eligible participants may visit:
openheartsquilting.com/bonusentry
and complete the designated free entry form and quilting preference survey.
Completion of the form and survey grants twenty-five (25) bonus entries into the applicable Sweepstakes drawing.
No purchase or membership is required.
C. PAID MEMBERSHIP BONUS ENTRIES
Active members of the Sponsor's paid quilting membership club in good standing may receive additional bonus entries based on their membership tier.
For the October Handmade Quilt Sweepstakes:
$10/month Membership: 50 bonus entries
$25/month Gold Membership: 250 bonus entries
$25/month Platinum Membership: 1,000 bonus entries
Membership status must be active and in good standing at the applicable Sweepstakes deadline.
A paid membership is not required to enter or win. A purchase or membership does not guarantee winning and does not change the random nature of the drawing.
5. ENTRY CONDITIONS
All entries must be submitted by the individual entering the Sweepstakes.
Entries generated through automated systems, bots, scripts, or other unauthorized methods are void.
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who attempts to interfere with the operation of the Sweepstakes, submits fraudulent or misleading information, or violates these Official Rules.
The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, delayed, or technically corrupted entries.
Where a specific entry method contains its own requirements or limitations, those requirements apply to that method.
6. RANDOM DRAWING
One (1) potential Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.
The drawing will be conducted on or about October 9, 2026 by the Sponsor or by a person or service selected by the Sponsor.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
7. PRIZE
One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive:
One (1) custom handmade quilt created by Open Hearts Quilting.
Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $475.00 USD.
The ARV represents the estimated value of the quilt, including approximately $250 in physical materials and $225 in artisan labor.
No cash or prize substitution is permitted except at the Sponsor's discretion.
The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
The winner is responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes or other expenses associated with accepting or using the prize, to the extent applicable.
8. WINNER NOTIFICATION
The potential winner will be contacted using the email address, Instagram account, or other contact information provided with the winning entry.
The potential winner must respond within forty-eight (48) hours of attempted notification.
If the potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within the required period, is determined to be ineligible, or does not comply with these Official Rules, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner through a subsequent random drawing.
Before receiving the prize, the potential winner may be required to verify eligibility and provide information reasonably necessary to confirm eligibility and facilitate prize delivery.
9. GENERAL CONDITIONS
By entering, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final with respect to matters relating to the administration of the Sweepstakes, subject to applicable law.
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Sweepstakes, in whole or in part, if fraud, technical problems, human error, unauthorized intervention, or any other circumstance beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control compromises the integrity, security, or proper operation of the Sweepstakes.
If the Sweepstakes is terminated, the Sponsor may, to the extent permitted by law, conduct a random drawing from among eligible entries received prior to the termination.
10. RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
By participating, entrants release and hold harmless Open Hearts Quilting and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and representatives from claims arising out of or relating to participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, except to the extent such limitation is prohibited by law.
The Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures, interruptions, telecommunications failures, website failures, social media platform failures, lost or delayed communications, or other problems outside the Sponsor's reasonable control.
11. INSTAGRAM / META DISCLAIMER
This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
By entering this Sweepstakes, participants understand that they are providing their information to Open Hearts Quilting, and not to Instagram or Meta.
Instagram and Meta are released from responsibility for the administration of this Sweepstakes to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. WINNER'S LIST
To request the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to:

Requests must be received no later than November 30, 2026.
The winner's name may be provided after the winner has been verified.
PRIVACY & DATA USE DISCLOSURE
Open Hearts Quilting may collect personal information provided by participants for purposes directly related to administering the Sweepstakes.
This information may include a participant's name, email address, Instagram username, mailing address when necessary for prize fulfillment, and responses to the quilting preference survey.
How We Use Information
Information collected through the Sweepstakes may be used to:
administer and operate the Sweepstakes;
verify eligibility and entries;
contact the potential winner;
deliver the prize;
prevent fraud or abuse;
understand participant preferences through optional survey responses; and
comply with applicable legal requirements.
Data Sharing
Open Hearts Quilting does not sell or rent entrants' personal information to third-party advertisers.
Information may be shared with service providers who assist the Sponsor with website hosting, entry collection, membership administration, payment processing, prize fulfillment, or Sweepstakes administration, as reasonably necessary to operate the business and promotion.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Open Hearts Quilting or others.
Data Security
Open Hearts Quilting takes reasonable measures to protect personal information collected through the Sweepstakes. However, no method of transmitting or storing information electronically can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Questions regarding the collection or use of personal information may be directed to Open Hearts Quilting through the contact information provided on the Sponsor's website.

This Sweepstakes is intended to be a free promotional drawing. Participation is subject to these Official Rules and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
